“Light, heat, smoke make a Firestarter!”
If you have followed this space for any time, you have heard me say this. But, in the spirit of going into year 6 (YEAR SIX!), I thought it would be a good idea to explain what that means…in depth.
Light.
A Firestarter sheds light on situations that are unjust, unfair and just…wrong! Consistently.
Heat.
A Firestarter is not afraid of backlash; we don’t go looking for fights, but ain’t scared when one come!
Smoke.
A Firestarter revels in confronting foolishness where it is; like our foremother–IDA B. WELLS BARNETT.
You see, these components? These right here? These are things that motivate me, empower me, to keep me focused on what the important things are, and not give up.
I am a Firestarter: can’t stop, won’t stop.
